Coil Building - Make Your Own Mug at North - 12/3
Coil Building - Make Your Own Mug at North - 12/3
Join us to learn about coil building and create your own unique mug! You will learn all the basics of coil building, which opens up a world of options for making your own pottery. We will go over techniques for rolling perfect coils, how to join them, and how to shape and refine your mug. This is a wonderful introduction to coil building and will allow you to begin (or refresh) a pottery practice that you can do from home or wherever you work with clay!
At the end of class, you will choose from three different glaze colors, and we’ll glaze and fire your pieces. Your mugs will be ready for you to pick up six weeks after the workshop. We will send you an email when they are ready.
No prior experience with clay is needed! This is a great workshop for anyone who is new to coil building or someone who would like some practice and new tips and tricks.
Date: Tuesday, December 3rd from 6-9 PM
Location: The Mud Room North (1831 N Killingsworth St). Please note the location, as we have two studios.
